Well I was born in the northern part of the US (Ohio), where they call it "pop". Now I'm in the southern part of the US (Virginia), where they call it soda. So I dunno what I should call it... so I just call it "awesomeness".

I call them "pop" or just a generic "coke" which is odd considering I mainly drink Pepsi.

That's weird, since most carbonated beverages aren't even colas, let alone coca-cola.

Soda or Soda Pop. never Pop by itself. But I voted for Fizzy Lifting Drinks, just because I love this:

Haha I never understood that either. I heard it was just an "up north" thing.

Denver CO. See, Coke's a brand name so I can't imagine calling all soft drinks "Coke". It's like my friend who called all trucks and SUVs Jeeps. It's just... it's just... not right!

I used to call it pop but not many other people here call it that, so I've had to settle with calling it soda.

Well you are not the first person to call me weird so that's par for course, but in my defense the only carbonated drinks I imbibe are colas.

It's not too hard. My parents call it pop, which is why it grew on me. But that lady man.... it was no joke. "Don't you dare call it pop again, it's soda dang it!"

"Refreshment" can mean a lot of things. They are usually called "Soft drinks" or sometimes "sparkling beverages" in the service and such industries.

From my understanding, that can also apply to solid foods.
