What do you do during black-outs? (Besides read)

We just had a 60 minute black out, and i had absolutely nothing to do but read. What do you guys do when the power is off?

Have a nap

Usually read or if it's during the day and the black-out wasn't caused by a huge storm I'll go for a walk.

If it's during the day, I go out for a drive or whatever. During the night...the same as it's pitch black then.

Usually commit criminal activities.

Edit: Oh, that kind of black-out. Sleep or ride around town on my bike.

Play the guitar and minesweeper/solitaire/hearts for as long as my computer has battery life.

Read, play DS or PSP, watch a movie / TV show on my portable DVD player, etc.

I listen to my iPod, either while sitting around and waiting for the power to come back, or while going for a walk.

I especially like it when the there's a black out at night, it's extremely relaxing to sit around/walk in total darkness, it's like the world suddenly froze.

Well usually we experience black-outs during storms so if I am not reading I will probably lie down on a sofa and open the window. I enjoy listening to the rain fall, the leaves rustling in the wind, and the thunder.

If the power cuts for some other reason I will take a nap...

I put one of my bunnies on a leash and go for a walk. if it's night or raining, then I sleep or read.

I can't sleep at all without the fan in my room on. I usually just lie in bed and wait.

I haven't had a black-out at home in seven years. Funny thing is that I forgot that they even occur at all.

I " plan it" sorry I'm watching the Chapple show. I usually just take a nap though.

We had a blackout from 9pm-9am in Irvine, so we played CTF with glow sticks.

On a serious note, I'd just continue working on artwork for my job portfolio.

I think the only times I've had blackouts were at night, so reading is more or less out of the question.

this guy is speaking the truth! here we have black outs 3 times a week for about 7 hours each.some of these black outs come at night. i go to the roof of my house and stare at the sky for hours. i feel disappointed if the power returns while staring at the sky.

anyway my fahter baught a generator so i dont have to worry about it anyway. but i still do the staring thing tho, because outside its still dark as hell.
