what do you do If you like someone who lives far away?

Thats the situation im in. There is this girl who i went to highschool with. we were pretty good friends in HS and hung out during the summer after we graduated. now that she is attending college in another part of the state (5 hours away from were I live), I find that I like her alot and I dont do long distance relationships. Has anyone else been in this situation before and can offer advice on what I should do? And im not just going to stop liking her overnight or anything either.

Date her - that's what I'm doing lol. I've had a long distance relationship for 2 years now. I know it's not easy though.

I moved from Portugal to Sweden and am now learning the language . but i guess im the exception not the rule because i know it isnt a fling or a internet crush.

should add, after 5 years of knowing my girlfriend 3 years of which were back and forth travels.

I have access to a good deal of money so it wouldn't really be an issue for me. Video/Audio calls via Skype to her computer or phone, Facebook, and ordering gifts for her birthday or Christmas or whatever occasion via online retailers make it all rather simple and will keep things going. Getting a plane ticket once in a while would be great too.Hexagon_777
