What do you do to make yourself feel better when you're feeling blue?

Well its a permanent state for me really. I get a few respites when i'm watching the football, playing video games and sleeping.
Drink beer.
I normally don't let things get me down. Just dont tred on things or else you will always feel bad.
I know, saying "just stop feeling bad" isnt what you want to hear, but it is the only way to feel better. You have to just stop, think about positive things, dont let stuff bug your life up and continue down the road of life.
And drink beer.
Forgot to say what I do.
I watch films. I can get into a film really easily which distracts me from feeling sad.
-listen to music
-work out
-play some violent, simple games (Red Faction: Armageddon has been filling that slot since Wednesday :D )
-if it is serious, I go for a drive out in wine country
-chain smoke
Best. Answer. Ever.Drink beer.

[QUOTE="mlbslugger86"]Drinking will just compound the sadness/feelings. SOme people can drink and feel better but IMO its a bad cover up. Agreed. Drugs in general are a terrible solution to depression that only serve as a temporary mask to your problems. In fact I think the haziness that follows drug use makes the problems even worse since it requires a clear-heard to solve said problemsI'm not Gonna Lie, I drink and Put on some music.

Man i don't know drinking really does lighten you up. I think being tipsy is the perfect state of being, not too hammered, not too sober. Man i wish i could be in that state all the time.
And i'm in no way a drinker.
Find something funny to enjoy watching online, listen to music I like, or video gaming. One of the three! lol 8)
Music, video games, caffeine (I think the warmth helps too, but it makes me feel a bit better), sleep, other things.
I've been doing a lot of that because I **** hate almost everything I chose to do this fall :C
umm already use to it... watch a movie BUT not really watch it and really think about w/e is going on
i leave the bleeding for boredom.... not kidding, when i am bored i bleed. Don't be mad because i like watching blood drip down my body

Yeah i quite like blood too. Not in a cut myself kinda way but it fascinates me. The feel, the taste, the heat, the smell. Its weirdly cool. I like getting a nosebleed. But i'm a strange person.
Exercise/workout. Best cure for depression. Ever since I started working out (a year ago), I found myself feeling less and less blue. I also practice piano and guitar when I feel down. lonewolf604i'm going to agree with this, maybe its the rush of hormones or the pumped feeling you get but working out is great, especially back day, nothing like squeezing hard as you pull down the lat machine while jimmy barnes plays over the speakers.
