What are some things you guys like to do when you're stressed? Normally I play video games, but lately I've been getting even more stressed when playing them.

I find non-fiction to be the best stress relief since they are slow paced but (usually) interesting if the topic at hand is of interest. I tend to read just about every genre of fiction.

Listen to music, take a nap, take a shower, read, or go for a walk.

I tend to drink and lash out at the wrong people. Pretty good way of coping I find.

Playing video games and doing exercise helped my stress when I was at University. Didn't play any games for a month, so it was all work and no play, became stressed. Had a pain in my chest. Then I decided to take it easy and play more and start going to the gym, the pain didn't come back since then and felt better.

other solutions:

Play a long single player game I know I can beat (to try and beat it faster than I did before... yesterday it was Resident Evil on GC)

Hang out with cousins or close friends (the conversations with friends usually get my mind off BS in life)

Sex (the ultimate art to relieve stress)

Watching the news (looking at how messed up the world is - you realize your own isn't that bad)

I was being vague, sorry. ._. I just try to be more positive. It doesn't always work, though.

the only times I get stressed right now is over college work so anything short of actually doing it wouldn't help. I'm pretty good at reasoning with myself though, not letting myself get stressed or upset because I know it accomplishes nothing and there are better ways of sorting it out

Take a deep breath and calm the f*** down. Either that or start cracking jokes. And depending on what game I'm playing that'll definitely make me more stressed.

At first? Have an anxiety attack.

Afterwards, tell myself not to sweat it and that it's no big deal.

Finally, get my mind off the subject by gaming, watching TV, reading, or browsing the web.

If Uma Thurman can punch through a wooden coffin when she is buried alive in Kill Bill 2 you can eventually punch through a wall. Hopefully it's wooden though :)
