We had this thread before. I think either way is bad.

Making a movie depends entirely on director and actor, for example max Payne is such a bad movie.

they are both usually terrible

Movies based on games...at least there are some great games based on movies.

i agree they did one hell of a great job with N64 goldeneye.

Games based off of movies. They're never good (Star Wars is the exception), as opposed to movies based off of games... Prince of Persia, anyone?

Tomb Raider wasn't bad and Spiderman 2 is one of the best superhero games. If you mean on average, movies based off games.

Games out of movies

Movies that are based off games have a higher chance of just being straight out terrible.

1. Because the fans of the game will complain if it's not right on.

2. Because people that go to theaters to see these movies have no idea what they are about and expect something completely different than what they are going to see.

3. Because a lot of them have terrible budgets and horrible screen writers.

Games based off of movies on the other hand, sometimes have the upper hand.

1. Because a movie was popular people will want merchandise from that movie and so people will go out and buy the games.

2. Sometimes (not always) there is a decent sized budget for the games to at least get them up to average quality.

3. Because really not all movie games are bad.

So really as you can see games based on movies have it better than that of movies based on games.

There are a lotta good Star Wars games. They balance things out. There are very, very few good movies based on games.

Games based off of movies.

The only movie based on game I thought was great was Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, not even Mortal Kombat was that amazing, and every other movie based on games I saw were terrible and Uwe Boll is the bottom of the barrel with his movies.

Both...although games based off movies are clearly an attempt to milk a franchise for all its worth.

Although Goldeneye managed to prove that wrong, for once.

Videogame movies, there is actually a decent amount of good movie games. It's just overshadowed like a small village caught in an avalanche of bear crap.

Both of them are Terrible

Both.. But a good focused example would be Aliens vs Predator.

Games based off movies. With films based on games atleast it's a good game however with games based on films the film is often crap too.

I think games based off of movie's is more annoying than anything else.

Especially since Disney feels the need to make a video game for ever movie they have
