creative makes the best mp3 players on the market today.

anyone that says ipods are better are retarded. creative won a suit against apple in which it was determined that apple stole creative patents... millions of dollars awarded to creative.

if apple steals from them to make their ipods, i'd assume that would mean creative does what they do very well.

I'd say this is a pretty weak argument (i prefer Creative, yes, but Apple does what it does very well in the world of MP3 players, better then any other company to date, no one has been able to dethrone the ipod)

Yes, the Zen comes in different sizes, you got the 8gig version, so it is going to have an 8gig flash drive inside, you cannot upgrade this to the 16 (i beleive Creative has some units that have SD expansion slots, but that's beside the point, i don't think the Zen does)

The Zen is a very nice player (i'd like to get my hands on the recently announced 32gig Zen)

I don't think they've launched the 32gig yet, have they? (at least not in North America?)

Here you go, although it's from August 2006. Apple had to give Creative $100 million.

The Zen Does have a SD Slot, thats the main draw of it. All models of the Zen have it.

I love mine, beautiful screen (looks awesome after i put in a costum background) and sound quality is great.

Only real annoyance is that the SD slot isn't fully integrated with the player, meaning that when you play something from the memory card, it stops other music, you can't play both music from the player's HDD and the memory card in one playlist for example. It is quite annoying but the player overall rocks, I like that you can record with it but the fm receiver is useless to me because there's only crappy radio stations where I live.

I have one and I love it. The sound quality's excellent and the screen is gorgeous. It's pretty small, too. You can also expand on the memory using SD cards. They're not fully intergrated with the Zen so you'll have to go to a different menu to play movies and music off the card. Overall, it's an excellent player. You won't be dissapointed.

Well I own a Zen Sleek and I absolutely love the thing.

Creative is now my favorite brand when it comes to MP3 players, so I think the 8 GB Zen would be a good choice.

Creative Zens are way too damn thick. It would be like carrying a box or something. That's the main reason why I went with a Zune 80. Oh not to mention all the reviews praising it.
