What do you, OT, think of this song?

Just curious on what your guys thoughts on this song are... my friend says it sucks (he loves Turisas though...) but I would personally put this song in my top 10, easily. It's one of those songs that gets better every time you listen to it...

But TC, it's okay. The riffs were eh. And The vocals weren't particularly interesting.

That was pretty bad but then again most metal is not my cup of tea

I looked them up on Wikipedia and there isin't anything linking that they are just joking around. And their band name is named after an ancient Finnish god of war.

Well watch a live video or at least their most popular song, Rasputin (a Bony M. cover!). If they, themselves, don't detect this as being corny then they must be pretty braindead

That was actually hilarious, and awesome, but that song may fit with the thread "songs you like from bands you don't really like"

I'll try a few songs by them, but I think it won't go further than Rasputin cover, although that was awesome.

That first picture looks pretty un-serious, but there's still the fact that they DO dedicate their lives to dressing up like that and writing/performing Viking rock songs... So obviously they take it pretty seriously

To be honest in the beginning it sounded a lot like backround music for Cirque du Soleil or a Vegas magician. But eventually I will have to admit that although it's definitely not my bag, it became kind of a fun song that tickled my Germanic roots just a tad.

I enjoyed that too, but my problem with getting into folk/viking metal is the use of other instruments..Thats what makes it so interesting, but it takes a while to get used to and get into. Those riffs from Sahri Waari were much better though.

Oh, and the band might not take itself seriously, but some of those posters do :lol:. But it's youtube, you can't expect much from the posters.

Am I the only one apart from TC, who thought it was good?
