What do you think about OT these days?

I think it's been pretty dull around here lately. We need more bizarre news topics! :P

It's nothing interesting to keep me coming back here constantly.

It has been a little boring IMO. Haven't stopped by as much. Some great users left after everyone was spazzed. Pretty disappointing.

Never ask me about current OT. It'll always be worse than classic OT, back before the no-name mods, back before the great purge and this current format, back before that gaudy blue balloon format, back in the good ol' days of Lithium.Dark__Link

You're just going through the stages of OT awareness. It always starts out with a peppy, happy user eager to post around. About three months later, you tend to notice a slight pattern in the topic list: a religious thread here, a favorite movie thread there, maybe a couple "best movies ever" threads now and then. About a year later, you begin to see how the topics have become about the same subject, but with different wording like "What is God?" and "Does God exist?"

Then, about two years after you start out here, you truly see OT for what it is: A religious, political, and movie-based debate forum populated with people who can't talk to women. Fast forward from that point to about two years and four months after the fact and...Well...You get me. Four years and four months, man. Four years and four months...

*heavy sigh*

its not as good as it used to be. many of the old guard are gone. most of the people that joined at the same time as me are almost all banned

I think it's a pretty cool guy and doesn't afraid of anything. Seems like all the awesome people have been in hiding or something though.

It could use more discussion about homosexuality and pre-marital sex. Other than that, it's splendid.

Yup, always savor those first few months while they last. Its a steady downward slope from there. I remember when electricity was just catching on and I recklessly posted jokes around the board without caring about getting modded and it even got me the Funniest User OTcar one year. Now I feel like I'm going through the same old stale jokes again and again because of the lack of topic variety.

Boring. Was good back in the day, then everyone got banned.

Where the hell did the_foreign_guy go? I just realized OT's been boring for a bit. :(dreDREb13

He stopped coming here and started his own message board because he was tired of being moderated all the time. Quite a few people went there. Unfortunately, there were a handful of people that turned it into a "Let's bash Sajedene" forum; I saw some of the nastier things that they said about her. His site was taken down because of a lawsuit that was probably filed by Sajedene. I doubt TFG will come back.

Here's what's left of it.

I think the worst part is that any suits against the site would not have any solid legal ground if he simply put a disclaimer saying "the messages contained in this site do not reflect the opinions of the owner(s) of this site" or something along those lines.

I think AOL had a similar case some time back and successfully defended themselves.

Well, I made my first account in 04, than it got a suspension in 05. After a few years of just not signing in,I finally decided to make a new account in 09 (this one). From what I remember, OT was more active back then compared to now. I do know that I don't like Gamespots recent reviews compared to the reviews years ago.

Deihjan and d3nnycrane spoke about her the most. Funky llama and blood wraith did more of a general bashing towards the gamespot community.

Is it bad that I feel nostalgic looking back on all the fun that OT was back then? I remember those people and love the times before they were banned... And I barely ever posted! :(dreDREb13

Of coarse not. Although, in my honest opinion, there are current, more active users now that make OT greater than they ever had.
