What do you think about songs/artists that use autotune?

I'm sure everyone has noticed the massive use of autotune in music today. Just curious what everyone thinks about it. Personally, I think autotune sounds cool when rap/hip hop artists like Kanye West and T-Pain use it. Otherwise, it typically sounds like crap. Even Lil Wayne sounds terrible with autotune.

What do you guys think?

I don't listen to crappy music, so autotune doesn't effect me.

I find Auto-tune songs to be pretty good actually. Though, it has to be done right though.

The group that does these two songs:

Micheal Jackson, Drugs, Palin

and

Are probably the best I've seen done.

considering 100% of the pop and R&B genres depend on it, I wish for it to die off.

I rather listen to artists who can actually sing good naturally.

I like it... but I only listen to what I want so it's not like I hear it as much as everybody else.

Untalented garbage.

I think it can produce some interesting effects.

But its getting pretty overused.

it depends why its used if you do a song and only one note is wrong then cool its easier then recording the whole song again

if agained as a song effect it depends sometimes its good sometimes its bad depends how its used and when its used

Oddly enough those that use it religiously seem to suck. Autotune could have been cool but because it's been so frequent the last few years I have gotten almost allergic to it.

It has its places in some music, like Daft Punk. But the way it's being overused in mainstream hip-hop sounds like garbage.

Artist don't use Autotune, Autotune uses artists. It's very annoying and overused. I didn't even like it the first time I heard it.

Used sparingly, it sounds good (that one Snoop Dog song, for example) but it's just become an annoying way for crappy artists to get radio play.
