What do you think about The Young Turks?

What are your thoughts on The Young Turks? I love them. I like Ana's fierce femininity and Cenk's sarcastic sense of humor (he's absolutely hilarious). More importantly, I like the rawness of their criticism of certain politicians (which is something that you don't see in the mainstream media), and their frequent coverage of the U.S.'s corrupt monetary and political systems. Also, this and this.

They're annoying.

I don't think their enthusiasm is false; it seems genuine to me. I mean, look at news channels like CNN or FOX; the enthusiasm of the anchors on those networks is what seems to be false, not that of The Young Turks. As for them insulting those who disagree with them, why shouldn't they? Those people tend to have the most absurd views, so why should they be criticized leniently? For example, in Arizona, Republicans are pushing for a law that would make it legal for doctors to lie to pregnant women about possible problems with the fetus/ unborn baby (including those which can be fatal to the mother). On the episode in which The Young Turks reported this story, I'll admit that they were somewhat insulting, but guess what? They should have been. The same thing applies to the absurd opposition to cancer screening exlained in the video you linked to.

They're spot on 90% of the time. Sometimes they stretch things too far in their favour. But nobody else in the media is talking about the relation between corporate influence in politics as much as them.

Buddhists preach pacifism, not saying they don't fight, but they are peaceful.

Riots, military coups, in a nutshell the country has been on the brink of a civil war for several years. In another example the Dalai Lama himself, supposedly the very embodiment of peace, advocated armed conflict against China. It was only after he realized that his people could not win a war against China without western help, and that western help wasn't going to come, that he began to advocate a diplomatic solution.

Generally disagree with their political views (though far from all), and a lot of times I feel like they reach to get their political stories. Though I enjoy sometimes their videos about weird, or just generally non-politcal news.

I think they are an embarrassment to journalism.

I think Cenk is kind of funny some times in the few videos ive seen but other than that I don't like it/don't watch it.
