What do you think is the most painful way to die?
I think burning to death would be the most painful.:(
Also, being disemboweled would also be an excruciatingly painful way to die. *gulps...shivers down spine*

I think the Romans used a method of execution where they put up a non-sharpened stake up your ass and waited for a few days while you slowly slid down it...and it was a wooden stake. So on top of everything else that is happening to you, your but is filled with splinters.
I think that would be the most painful way to die.

I don't know if the Romans did, but Vlad III certainly did.

I think he meant having your eyeballs ripped out and turned around so you literally could look at your face.
Yes, that would suck.
[QUOTE="Darth-Caedus"]Disembowelment, I was watching some show on Discovery channel on ancient torture machines, the one for disembowelment was hands down the post disgusting and painful looking things I've ever seen...tzar3

Isn't it slowly being disected and taken apart, like in Braveheart at the end?
I could probably think of something really sick but I won't, so I'll just share some info. The real Count Dracula would impale people in the hundreds, his style of impalement was sticking a giant stake in the ground the sticking pushing through the anus to the mouth, that's not the worst part though... most people lived for a couple of days after being impaled.ChampionoChumps
I've actually heard about that, I hope that dude is in Hell, seriously, that is horrible.

Tied down, small incision made and your intestine is pulled partially out and nailed to a wooden pole, pole is then slowly cranked around, slowly pulling your intestine out of you. Your fully conscious the entire time, and it takes several minutes after your intestine is fully out for you to actually die.[QUOTE="ChampionoChumps"]I could probably think of something really sick but I won't, so I'll just share some info. Yeah back then it was considered the ultimate sign of disrespect and barbarianism, hell I guess it would still be considered that.[QUOTE="tzar3"][QUOTE="Darth-Caedus"]Disembowelment, I was watching some show on Discovery channel on ancient torture machines, the one for disembowelment was hands down the post disgusting and painful looking things I've ever seen...Darth-Caedus

In my opinion, being buried alive is the worst. As there is practically no way of committing suicide, you just have to lay there all day and wait for death to come.Razor-Lazor
In a moment of capture, ninjas were taught to bite off their own tongue and swallow it and choke themselves to death to avoid a painful death.

Well thats not the most cruel war story I've ever heard. During The Vietnam War, North Koreans would skin people alive then cut their balls off and stick them in their mouth right after hanging them from trees with barbed wire. Imagine walking up to a bunch of people hanging from a giant tree all like that. That's worse IMOFear it
I don't know how lethal it is but it is painful.

yea, they called it being drawn and quartered.
First, they would torture you.
then they'd place you on a table and cut open your belly. They would draw out your intestines slowly (all 25 feet of it), then finally cut your head off and cut your limbs off. Your head would be placed on a pike outside the tower of london, and your limbs would be taken to the four corners of the island.
That would actually be an almost instantaneous death. Not so bad as far as deaths go.[QUOTE="megagene"][QUOTE="Lilyanne46"]
Being dropped in a volcano, while lava is ready to burn you to death. :?
Lilyanne46
Really? How about being dropped from 200,000 feet from the air? Only to be dropped in a bottomless pit of acid and lava? :?
Still pretty much instantaneous.

But this would not have the effect Longshanks had planned.
