I heard they can be quite vicious.
On the other hand, even a lot of scary badass animals really are "more afraid of you than you are of them."
There's a centain satsfaction in encountering a wild pit bull, a 15 foot long alligator, or a roving pack of 600 pound pigs, and absolutely scaring the bejeezus out of them to the point that they run away.
I once accidentally did that to a 15 foot long alligator, and yeah...it's pretty ****ing satisfying. I walked up along some tall grass that was along the edge of the water. Suddenly I heard this huge explosion in the pond, this huge fountain of water shot 10 feet up in the air, then i just see this HUGE alligator swimming for its goddamn life. Apparently it was probably asleep or something. Then it woke up, heard me right next to it, and thought I was out to get its ass. So it just completely lost its ****, and flipped out.
At first I was like, "Uh...WTF?!" Then when I realized what happened, I felt like a badass. I was like, "yeah, that's right. Even giant gators won't **** with ME."
Anyway, I'd like badgers if I could consistently scare the hell out of them without them eating my face off. Luckily though, I've never seen a badger. And I HAVE heard some scary ****ing stories about them. So all in all, I don't want to meet one.
