This date was made by a very inteligent person. It was documented that he used the full power of the human brain (apposed to our 10% useage) and ACTUALLY had visions of the future and healed people, by seeing how they died. I do beleive these stories in a way, but there is only 1 way to find out if it is going to end. This person also predicted 911 and said it would happen on the same date it did, but his vision he explained was fairly different, but from the time that he lived in calling an airplane a "beast" is understandable. So weather or not the world will end on dec. 11 is up to god.Lawnboi

I know it could be, just wanted to tell a story.

Time to call in Myth Busters
On December 21, 2012, the Sun will rise in the morning and be present through out the day, then it will set. Then at midnight the day will change to the 22nd of December. That's what I think is going to happen.
Um, so these are the same people who routinely cut out living peoples' hearts as offerings to their gods.
Yeah, they really had it all figured out. Seriously, I am so tired of these threads.
The biggest load of ****ing bull*** to ever come out of the minds of people. The world's "end" has been predicted so many times, you would think even the most illogical people would have, by now, come to notice that every single prediction has never come true and never will.foxhound_foxSeriously. What the hell. How do people believe this crap?
It's based on the Mayan calander. The calander apparently spands a little over 5000 years. And then stops on 11:11 AM Dec. 21 2012. So many people believe it means there will be an apocolypse. During that moment, the sun will be exactly aligned w/ the center of the Milky Way. Causing chaos on Earth. But others believe it means mankind will experience a new and higher form of consciousness. Whatever that means.
Why are people obessed w/ this primitive calander? Some say it predicted every major war and disaster in the world.
People have been talking about this for years. Many musicians mentioned this in their songs. There are countless books on this topic. And this is where the idea for 'Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls' came from.
So where are the Mayans today again? That's what I thought.SpaceMoose
watch 'Apocolypto'. You'll see at the end.
Nostradomus predicted so many things that at some point in time hes bound to be right about something, they are all so vague, and can be interprited how ever you want sometimes
except for the hitler one, thats the only one that i found to be a bit creepy but still, again, hes said many things that havent come true, and if according to him that they all dont come true in the next for years then hes wrong cause the world wlll end and nothing will be can happen anymore so,

It's all a matter of sugar coating things. With enough of it, you could sell hell to the devil.

Looks like we have the same birthday.
Anyway, I think that prediction is a load of crap.

nothing will happen. the mayans didn't have any particular reason for stopping their calender. they just did. it is said that they predicted a rare planetary allignment. but who cares. it'll be only 4 days before christmas. dissonantblack
