Just on the surface. They refuse to let their children partake in any school activity relating to holidays, to a child there is nothing worse than being singled out for exclusion among peers.
I was raised a Jehova's Witness when I was young, and although it does suck that I didn't get presents for my own birthday, or allowed to make anything during holiday activities, it's a belief. I didn't believe in it back then, and I don't believe in it now. Let me ask you... if you're Christian, would you partake in Channukah activities? If so, why? You don't believe in them, so what's the point?
They praise members of their church that have let children die rather than receive a simple and common medical procedure, telling them that they will be raised from the dead after Armaggedon which is their name for Apocalypse.
*shakes head* As someone already mentioned, there are other ways to save lives other than taking someone else's blood. There are solutions and other ways to recycle your own blood. We believe that blood is indeed sacred, and it must be treated as so.
They isolate their members from family by removing the celebration of birthdays and holidays and encouraging only good association, meaning within the circle.
Again, this goes back to what I said about school activities. We don't believe in celebrating birthdays and holidays, and if not celebrating these days means isolating family members since there's no reason to get together... then the family isn't that strong enough to keep in touch with one another on a regular basis.
Also. there is nothing wrong with encouraging good association within the circle. That doesn't mean they never associate with other people. It's just like how you spend more time with your family then your friends. They just like spending more time with one another than associating with someone outside their faith.
These are just a couple things wrong with these backward thinking high and mighty pricks.
Judge not lest ye be judged. I cannot emphasize how horrible your final statement is. I can assure you of one thing: no matter how whacked you think Jehova's Witnesses are, they will NEVER condescend you for what you believe in. You should think hard about that.

I also want to say something about everyone being bothered by them knocking on your doors. Is it that hard to simply say, "Sorry, I'm not interested." They'll take note. They're not high-pressure salesmen. They do take the hint, but they have to try to reach as many people as they can, because that's what they are told to do. Seriously, don't think you're so better than them that you can't take one minute to politely say, "Sorry, I'm not interested."
