Personally, I think it's terrible to listen to. Although, I do think that if there's some screamo intermixed with actual singing, then it might sound good.
I haven't really listened to enough of it to form a solid opinion, but from what i've heard it ranges from meh to terrible.If it's mixed with melodic singing then it's better in my opinion.
See, where I live, there are quite a few local bands of people who are about my age, and many of them are screamo/emo. I personally don't like most of the people in the bands, or the people who are regulars. The whole scene bothers me :P
