1999 Acura TL

For some reason, I find it ugly. Don't listen to me though, I know nothing about cars.

My first Acura was a black 2002 TL. It was the last TL with the same chassis and engine as the one you're going to purchase. I enjoyed it and eventually purchased another TL after I put about 170,000 miles on it. It handles well. The ride is smoother than an Accord but not so insulated like a Lexus that you can't feel the road. Acceleration is average; it may be a "luxury performance" car but don't expect BMW acceleration. Gas mileage is respectable. Consider replacing the stock 15's for some 17's like the TL-S type.

Be aware. Honda had some problems with bad transmissions on their Acuras and Hondas during the late '90s and early '00s. I had to replace the tranny and ECM at about 95,000 miles. Fortunately, it was covered by warranty. Check the service record on the car you are planning to purchase. Other than that, the Acura TL is a very reliable car that drives well.
