Hey guys as you know bench press is very important so I must set a difficult but realistic goal to achieve. I am 6'0" 171 pounds and I can currently bench press 230. I go to the gym 5-6 times a week and eat pretty healthy.

I have 3 months to reach this goal (at the end of summer)

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

1,534 lbs seems reasonable.

Probably start with the bar and work yourself up to higher weights.

Try out steriods. Then you'll hit those marks pretty easily.

Bench pressing isnt actually THAT important as you dont use your whole body at the same time, unlike you would with kettlebell excercises, you can get ripped way faster this way, 'cause your body is supposed to work as one unit. Doing upper body then lower body after isnt the way to do it, unless its like a strength thing you want to prove to yourself that you can do then good luck.

Bench press has no practical use. Get natural muscle dude. Do body weight exercises till you can call gymnasts wimps, which is a lot of exercising. That's badass.

1.5x body weight

Assuming you stayed the same weight that would be 170+ 85= 255

You probably would go up in weight though, but yeah.

Just give up weight training. The last 12 times you asked these sorts of questions they obviously haven't helped.

I'd say you don't really need tobench anymore than what you already can. How much can you curl?
