When I was a kid I often wished I was not born in New Zealand, I thought it was backwatersville.
As I grew up I realised it was the most pointless and futile exercise of wasted mental power to wish I was born somwhere more glamorous, more exciting. I had often thought it would be a better life in the more metropolitan areas of the world, mabye somewhere in America, Europe or Asia.
How wrong was I. I love my country with a passion. Not in a nationalistic sense, haha, yeah right my country is run by commies; I love my nation because of reasons I can not recognise.
And thats whats great about it. I don't even know what I love about this nation. Its just awesome. Its certainly not the people, the weather, or the technology. In all of those categories, we certainly are a real backwater craphole. We make teen binge drinkers from most other nations look like Mormons. We've got the highest teen pregnancy rate in the world.
But we are still better than you. Always remember that. No matter who you are, where you are or even what you are, remember that you are inferior to my country. Suck that in.
