Is this supposed to be a full remake of the first? It's been a while since I've seen it but I don't recognize any of the scenes that I've seen in the preview. They better not leave out the blood exploding out of the bed.your right that his look fits the part of a burn victim very well, but i'm not sold on the re-make just yet. i am a fan of the original films so i'm a little skeptical.

A bunch of music videos (he even made a Justin Timberlake one... like OMG!!! the directing talent is unbelievable). Are they serious? This movie has an incompetent crew, bad actors (Jackie Earle isn't really a bad actor, but Robert Englund IS Krueger, really...), overall pointless remake. Going to be horrible like 99.5% of horror movies released nowadays. What happened? No one understands horror movies. On one end you have cheesy movies and on the other you have genuinely frightening movies and nowadays they go straight for the gore and bomb on both the other qualities. Neither fun to watch nor fear-inducing at all.
That looks wrong. He looks like an alien now, not a blood thirsty maniacal burn victim like he's suppose to. The old looks was better, not to mention more iconic. It's not just the hat and the spiky fingers, people.
they arent going for the same freddy, this is a darker, more evil freddy. not the jokester of past movies. yall keep crying about how he looks, its a diffrent actor. the face of the original freddy was modeled to robert englands face. That looks wrong. The only reason Freddy Krueger was actually a great villain was his wise ass comments. Not some mindless slasher villain. Making him some cold killer talking in a growly Rorschach voice ruins half of what made the original movies so good (well, I'm not so sure after the second one). I just don't really get it.

yeah, like posted above it is too be a true re-make, but i'm sure that there will be a few add on scenes.

Even though this movie will probably be crap, every director has to start somewhere. Hell, David Fincher started out doing music videos as well.

Of course, but letting someone with limited experience remake something as big as this? I'm not saying that no one should get a chance, but I just feel like they should get someone more experienced to remake A Nightmare on Elm Street.
