I'm in to horror movies and books (just started reading the Haunting of Hill House), and I came across this artist and I really like her work. What do you guys think?

i like her way of using colors,on the other hand,i'm not really a fond of her type of figurative art.
Reminds me of Guillermo Del Toro's films, namely Pan's Labyrinth. Also Alice in Wonderland seems an influence, but it was an influence of the film as well. Kind of a beautiful creepiness about it, the artwork is certainly unique, and is definitely worth a look.
I think Garcia's work kind of reminds me of a Tim Burton movie, like Nightmare Before Christmas or Corpse Bride.

I always find it interesting to try and interperate what these pictures mean.
Here's my take: this lady is clearly not in good health, she looks deformed. Perhaps she was born that way?
The sickly lookingegg signifies her passing along her deformed genes onto her offspring.
The apple signifies health (apple a day keeps the doctor away) it is on her head because it's constantly on her mind.
She has three eyes, this is usually tied with seeing into the future.
She looks into the future and see's that the child is going to follow along the same path she has.
So she cracks the egg, effectively aborting the child; as she realizes it's better not to pass along her genes.

plus the artist took time to draw the cleavage so there is sex appeal as well.biohaznerd
The artist is clearly disturbed... sexualizing abortion like that.
Not my exactly my kind of art, but I'm sure it took plenty of talent to create... Interesting I suppose.
