My friend was given this sign but he doesn't know what it means. If anyone could tell me, I would appreciate it.

that's what i'm thinking. either that or german. it looks pretty european. the tell tale sign is the big circle round the word. the germans love putting seemingly random dots all over their words and they've gone a bit overboard with this one

No, my work blocks all material hosted offsite from Gamespot, so I can't see the sign, and I speak French so I could tell you if it is indeed French.

Yes, I remember now that on a trip to France we saw a road sign which looked almost exactly like that; I think it means "look to your left, there's a field full of cows there". Of course, I could be wrong.

You could well be right. I think a lot of people were distracted by the cows in the field to the left, making the site a bit of an accident blackspot, hence the speed limit. Good work :)

It means, "フォーラムを混同する" or "混淆的一個論壇" depending what region of Scotland you are from. In English, it simply translates, "To confuse on a forum." :P

Now you mention it... maybe that sign was in Russia. It would make sense that the prostitutes would need a road sign to draw attention to themselves with a field of cows on the other side. TC, forget everything I previously said; that sign does indeed say 'prostitute' in Russian.

it's a clever ploy russian prostitutes use to avoid detection. what they do is use japanese to confuse the authorities into not arresting them. the sign reads 'prostitues and humps (hur hur hur) for the next 400 yards'. clearly if they wrote the signs in russian the police would know exactly what was going on

Exactly, and I remember from my trip to Japan, when our teacher took us to the red light district (best trip evar, amirite?) all the signs advertising brothels were in Russian. The authourites were none the wiser.

Yes, there is definitely no chance that that was intentional. None whatsoever.
