I love Chinese food and Shushi but I was thinking about trying tofu today is it any good?

I used to eat pea soup and tofu at my friends' grandmother's house, who lived in England. The tofu wasn't very good...-GeordiLaForge-ugh guess i can live with out it the tofu garden sounded pretty good at wok n roll
why do people eat it then!?!?! im confused :(it tastes king of like a cross between cheese and vegetables and milk and fluff and nothing.

From what I think I heard, it has a load of protein. Also, tofu is pretty much tasteless by itself. It soaks up the flavors of the food that it is cooked with so how it tastes depends on the situation.
It tastes like whatever is accompanying it. If it's in soup, tastes like soup. If it's in a sauce, tastes like the sauce. If it's in a donut, it tastes like a donut (tofu donuts are awesome by the way). Tofu itself has no taste though. I'm pretty indifferent to it.
