In the style of Avatar. Earth for me

You forgot air. I would choose water, then I would promptly split the Red Sea and give the finger to Egypt.
undoubtedly air. it can instantly negate fire, move water and earth. it gives the power of 3 elements possiby 4 if skilled enough.ferret-gamer
Yea, that's why the fire nation totally ****ed up those air dudes.
...It makes me sad that I know this.

huh?I have no idea what "bending in the style of avatar" means, but water is my favorite element, so I'll go with that. :P
Yeah but for me i would have to damn near start a tornado everytime i took off. Would rather float around on a boulder....in rock armorAir because it can easily beat all the other elements plus you can make yourself fly :D

Air, because you could save on travel costs and I think it gives you the most flexibility when you're in danger, air can move things, can cut things, can cool things, can heat things, it is everywhere (except in a vaccum) and it doesn't necessarily hurt people or destroy things like fire or earth, unless you want it to. Water bending is pretty useless in arid environments, although blood bending is pretty cool and sick at the same time :D

Look up Avatar: The Last Airbender on DVD, BTW I know Book 1 is on the Netflix View Instantly folder, it was a Nick show and the character development, voice acting, story, and dialogue are amazing. I am 25 and enjoyed it, it isn't just for kids.
Iron, because then I could be magneto.
Also, I hate when the term "element" is used to describe the classical Greek elements when it's been proven incorrect for over a hundred years.

Agreed.
Fire is the combustion of oxygen.
Water is a bond between two hydrogens and an oxygen.
Earth is a heterogeneous mixture that could contain many various substances.
Air is a mixture of several different gases, which is a state of matter (solid, liquid, gas).
An element is something like carbon, or aluminum, or as this guy mentioned, iron. Let's not pretend to be Aristotle now, he may have had some good ideas, but Democritus owned him on this one.
Also, I know I mentioned adamantium, but that's an alloy.
