I thought up this question today and have started asking my friends occasionally out of curiousity. I have noticed they are usually undecided or if they are they don't really have any reason besides they liked the story. I feel I didn't go into detail enough with the question, and I feel I need to go more in depth.

The question is, what fictional story would you most like to live in the world of? This could be from movies, tv, books, video games, any fictional story you know of. Be careful about this, just because you thought something like Halo was amazing, for anyone besides the main characters it would suck. Also, maybe go into detail on why you would like to live in this world, what advantage would it serve to you? What thrill would it give you?

My answer to the question would be the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. This would be the perfect world for the misfit like me. I'm always acting odd and finding myself saying the strangest things. I would feel perfectly normal in the strange world of this book. Also, there's the chance for adventure, going and exploring all the marvels of the universe by hitching rides. The danger would even serve a great thrill by annoying the Vogons and the like. And then there's the fact that I would get to travel in space, and if I could get away with stealing a ship with an improbability drive I would have endless fun. (continues rambling on about things people who haven't read the book have no idea about)

Well, lets forward this question to you, people of OT. Specifically those who have come into this topic.

I'm glad you mentioned E.T., it's Spielberg's quintessential representation of suburban living and one of my favorite childhood movies.

Well, there's the possibility I was sick that day, but I might've just been avoiding chores. Can't really remember but the movie never really caught my interest.

I guess that's another way of putting it, much more eloquent.
