Topic. Im still in it and, even though being friends with some of the, absolutely hate the sporty footy player guys, they piss me off so much, i mean, just today, we were playing Basketball, and then one of those idiots bombs the ball away into the local golf club, thus ending our game, and losing my ball. I really want to teach those guys a lesson about how much of a ****head they are, but i cant, because they are all bigger, and stronger than me, and they are (generally) too stupid to get into a verbal fight and understand whats going on. I tried to get back at one once, i mean i was about the same size, build as him, but as soon as i got into a fight with him, all of his big friends came to help him out, thus giving me a black eye, and a month of detention. that was a long tim ago. the only way i get back at them now is during sport, where ideliberatly trip them in hockey, and bump them in soccer etc. i may give away a free, but at leat im getting back at them.

I hate them too although I can't say they've made my life a misery. They just make you want to punch them repeatedly in the nose for being a punch of plebs.

The 'posers'. By 'posers' I mean those gangsta wannabe's who think they are so tough. Jocks and airheads (preps) are also not the best. Emo's are pointless. I don't necessarily hate these groups, I just think they need to do something productive.

Most of the kids who everyone praises are enemies of mine. They hate me for no real reason, so I kind of avoid them to keep myself from getting suspended, it's usually the best strategy unless they won't leave you alone, then a punch to the face can set them straight.

Coming for university i hate the guys that cant be seperated from there acoustic guitars, all they do is sit around the quade and play dave mattews which imo is just to impress girls, the best guitarists i no are the ones that care about the music as apposed to the ones that care about people noing that they play music.

Wow "attacked"?

Yeh I remember once a group of girls shoved past me and I shouted for them to watch it and they waited til I'd got round the corner and started following me and I remember getting all nervous. I felt one of them grab my hair from behind and next thing I know I was on the floor and they were punching and kicking me. I fought back of course but there was 6 of them and I was on the ground so I came off much worse. I found it painful to brush my hair for weeks because they'd bruised my scalp from pulling on it and I had a few cuts on my face and a swollen lip.

Yeh I hated high school. It's because I stand up for myself, when a chav started on me I'd usually answer back with something clever and it got them angry. I couldn't help it, they were stupid ****heads and I wish more people would've stood up for themselves.

When I call them chavs I know it's generalising and I know a lot of nice 'chavs'. I never pick on people because of what they wear or listen to and I wish everyone else could do the same.

You know now I'm at college I haven't been called a sweaty at all. Not once. I love college :)

Yeh I don't dress anything like a goth but people assume I am one because I dress different to them. In fact I don't really dress like a sweaty, I swing towards darker clothing but I don't have piercings or black hair and I don't have over accessorized clothing. In fact I'm quite plain which is what I'm comfortable with. I hate it when people assume I'm this or that just because I'm different to them.

Can i just ask, whats a sweaty?

In my school its pretty much just: Chavs, "Greebos" (which pretty much coveres Emo kida and Goths) and the Geeks.

I hate to say the names like that cuz i hate labeling people but thats how it is at my high school

It's funny. Some girl in our school told us a story where my friend's younger brother (who's a chav, incidentally) shouted at her, "OMG you have purple hair!", in an accusing way. So she's all like, "Yeh... I do" with a big :| face. This kid has also called her a goth before due to her hair, but it's quite funny, I think, how people can generalize over something so small. :?

That's the thing with chavs, they can't stand intelligence, it intimidates them and makes them feel scared, it's pathetic really. Me being from Teesside means I've had my fair share of experiences with chavs.

BTW, I define chavs not by what they wear, but their whole rotten attitude and intolerance to anything that doesn't conform to their severely limited perception and understanding of life in general.

i dont really "hate" enyone or want to use labels but what ever...i reallly dont like the jocks/preps, they think they own the school, they think they are better then everyone.

other then that i really dont have a problem with enyone, infact nobody really had a problem with enyone. the nerds, geeks, emo/goths, metal heads, stoners, hippies, skaters, outcasts(again i dont like labels) all actually hung out together. we were all joined by the fact we diddnt like the preps :P

Agreed, I'd never judge anyone from what they wear/listen to but on their attitude as a whole.

I think 1 got suspended for a day for starting the attack but as far as I'm aware they didn't get punished at all :|

Chavs were not around when I was at school. There was a small group made up of 3 people who didn't know me, but randomly decided they didn't like me. They were top sets and all prefects, so it made no sense why they were doing this. Just generally tried to boss me about and not let me into any of the buildings. It ended when me and my best friend got suspended by viciously attacking one and attempting to stick his head under the school bus tyer while it was loading up during home time. We'll never know how far we were going to go with that, as the teachers screamed at us like mad and (as I said) we got suspended for a week. My parents were quite impressed with how I resolved the situation and my bigger brother was most proud.

Back when I was at school you couldn't tell people by a culture as our uniform rules were very strict. Forget your school tie your sent home. Dye your hair you get suspended. During the 4th year when they ditched the shirt and ties some people (including myself) used to have metal chains and rings attached to our school trousers, which was as close to goth / metal / punk or emo as you could get away with at the time.

At the end of the day, my generation in my school was divided into 2 factions. The smokers and the none smokers. We used to have gatherings during the breaks where you'll congregate in a corner. After a while a group of teachers would come over to break it all up. The ones who were smoking in that crowd were the 'cool' people.

Make that out to be as pathetic as you want, it's the way it was for us.

From Wiki: 'Chav' is a mainly derogatory slang term in the United Kingdom for a person whose lifestyIe, clothing (especially if fake / counterfeit and usually Fred Perry, Burberry etc.), speech and/or mannerisms are perceived to be common and vulgar. The term 'chav' is often used as a stereotype to refer to poorly educated, aggressive working-cIass youths, but youth and aggression are not the defining attributes of a 'chav'.

They make everyones life a misery in the UK.

The people that didn't care about their education at all. Jocks were pretty annoying too cause they would sometimes be abusive.

Preps/jocks and "hardcore" gangstas equally. The less-gangsta kids think I'm funny, so I don't mind them. It's the ones who choose not to do work in school because they're too "cool" or something. Preps and jocks are just the biggest jerks in my school. Snobby, racist, anti-Semitic, everything.

Nothing, they have kids when they are about 16, so the government will give them a council house and then they can live off handouts also from the government for the rest of their lives and generally be obnoxious and commit crime.

They behave like that in School or just beyond the grounds? The teachers know about it?
