When I first started reading OT threads, the one that was mentioned as being the "magic number" was Level 20...that was a long while back, and at that time I hadn't yet reached Level 20.
Is it still that Level, or has it gone up?

Then I guess I have no credibility on here...Or perhaps just other things to do? :P
Suzy_Q_Kazoo
Not so, Suzy.:P
I levelled-up like mad every day, got the max percentage so I could reach Level 20...and kept on going after that.
A high level doesnt make a user credible. Take me for example.Big_Bad_Sad
I considered you to have a very high credibility when I started posting.:)
Level 70.
Until then, I think you're all a bunch of attention seeking alt-accounts.

How did you know !? :x
You get credibility with the time I see you post and the quality of those posts over the years. Someone could just be a high level from only watching videos, reading articles, and never posting once in the forums.

What made you realise I havent? He's not a LIverpool supporter...he likes Arsenal.:PConsidering the levels displayed in OT now....I don't think 20 fits anymore.:P But people have credibility with me when they are good users...level/posts notwithstanding.LJS9502_basic
Good way to say it.:)
Level/post count isn't really relevant. I've seen users with under 1000 posts with great posting history and users with tens of thousands of posts who are terrible posters.
They won't hang properly on my wall. :x *ba dum tish*
I actually value credibility based on whether you actually took the time to set up your profile, which includes an avatar, sig, and any blogs or reviews. If someone level 1 comes on with a well established profile, that usually means they are taking the time to become a legitimate member, and not just a big troll.
Of course none of that matters as much as what the person's actual posting record. You could have 10000 posts and still spew complete BS about how onlive lets you play crysis at 1080p for only 180 dollars.

Level does show dedication to using the site's gaming information...the first half of my time here, I didn't go to the forums at all, I just read reviews and viewed trailers to get a feel for a game I was interested in.
Then I discovered OT.:o
But I still game a lot, and I still go through reviews and videos...posting isn't enough to get anywhere near max percentage in a day.

Depends. I would like to consider myself a credible poster. Then again, who wouldn't. Anyways, arbitrarilly chosen benchmarks don't seem to provide the answer.
