You can find it in the news articles here if you search for them. Not only that, but while Jeff was fired, Alex Navarro is quitting.MAILER_DAEMON
What??? That was the last straw :?... I wonder how "on the spot will be now".
Guys i have still not got an answer though what did he do??? WHY was he fired lol, the guy was freckin amazing.mike_efcgave a bad review to one of cnets adverticers
He was shanghaied on a boat to Cuba, where he now rolls cigars. Because of his amazing adeptness in Cuban cigar rolling, he was given more power than he should have. Given the name El Senor Gerstmann a la Diablo, he rose to the high ranks of the Cuban government in very little time. Once enough trust was bestowed to El Senor Gerstmann a la Diablo, he seized his opportunity, and viciously assassinated every official and overthrew the Cuban government. He has since renamed Cuba to "Jeff Land." JustPlainLucas

I laughed:|People are sometimes... no, often fired for personal reasons. Jeff stepped on the wrong toes. No, Jeff stomped all over the wrong toes. That's life. Corporate America controls advertising. Instead of telling people to buy a hyped game Jeff told people not to buy it which contradicts his purpose of employment. from what I know he upset a very sensitive fatcat from a fairly large fairly well known studio. A studio that developes & publishes mostly lackluster games so they deserve all of the negative critisism they recieve.
Jeff is too honest. That's his problem. He lacks tact. He basically told the Gamespot viewers. "Don't buy this terrible crappy game." I paraphrased a bit but that's the gist of what he said.

So next time we get attached to a GS member, we'll need to develop a system of signals, codes, and signs to keep who we like and buy what we should.
So he was drinking on the job and he was fired is that it or he did a bad review, does anybody know the actual reason or did somebody listen to the gamespot poscast??
mike_efc
If, in fact, he got fired for telling the truth. I doubt that information will be released officially because that would jeopardize all review authenticity.

As if that hasn't already happened. Official or not, it's all out in the open now. So many GS editors, including Alex leaving after his termination, Shu's editorial in EGM calling out the three big publishers who don't want them covering their games anymore. No company will make an official statement, but we don't need one.
