That is one big ass spider. On the plus side, larger spiders tend to have weaker vemon so they aren't a real threat. Still creepy as hell though.

Anyways. First of all, i think he squished the thing, just after the spider moves he hits him bout half way down his body with the edge of the container. So i suspect the spider was dead... 2nd, big spiders are alot less of a problem then small ones. The Black Widow, prolly the most famous poisonous spider that can kill a human is around 2cm big with its legs i think.
