What happens if being a hipster gets too mainstream? *is this dividing by zero?*

just like the topic title says, hipsters are all about being a small group of people that are totally different from eveyone else, what if more and more people just becomes hipster, how would that affect thehipster image?

If being a hipster ever becomes mainstream we have bigger problems to worry about.

How could Skrillex be a hipster? his music is pretty mainstream so if he was a true hipster he would have probably killed himself by now.

Hipsters are mainstream, urban outfitter kids, indie cindys, etc. Its a branch term, it really doesn't have a specific set of people in mind. Just their shared values and habits. Its an amalgamation of all previous trends chewed up and spewed out.

Being a hipster is subjective and often image related, so the omg cool hipsters will slightly change to keep ahead of the times.

i.e. look out for some really horrible trendy haircuts.

also, being one defeats the purpose of being one... most hipsters look very similar to eachother.

jeff goldblum has been hipster way before it was even labeled as such, he will forever be ahead of the game of trend.

If hipsters ever became too mainstream (well, more so than now), we'd probably have to call out the National Guard and cull the hipster population to prevent mass hysteria.

I wouldn't mind seeing hipsters go away, most of them are pretentious and annoying.

I really do not have a problem with most hipsters, sure they can be a bit pretentious but with reason. I wouldn't say I am a hipster but I definitely have tendencies.

hipsters are kinda funny hypocrites if you ask me kinda reminds me of the goth kids from southpark not like i have a problem with either or.but it would be like saying i like japanese.so they say i'll be hipster and like chinese.....? the whole thing actually kinda confuses me but to a point i dont think it even exists they are what i would call "different"
