Finished watching Tales from the crypt Demon Knight yesterday and currently watching Tales from the crypt Bordello of Blood. Enjoying both.

Well?

Last one I watched was Santa Sangre (Alejandro Jodorowsky), two weeks ago. Bizarre. I liked it.

The Conjuring 1 and 2, and I See You. I love horror movies but it's hard to find good ones.

I liked Blood Machines. It's a TV show on Shudder but there are only 3 episodes. It's more like a movie. I could have been nit-picky but I chose to enjoy it. It's kind of like a live action anime.

TBH I have not watched much lately.

Any recommendations? Was thinking of watching It Part 2 but....3 hours long, and I heard it is not as good as Part 1.

I have Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu.

Do you recommend Shudder?

*oh a 7-day trial! Guess I will find out for myself :D

I really don't want another streaming service though. Between TV and game subs I feel like I am spending 200/month haha

I only recommend Shudder if you are in to horror films. So it's niche'. They have an ok selection. Blood Machines is from some of their original content. Also if you want to see a Nicholas Cage, screwed up but good film imo, Mandy. The other two originals were just ok. If you try, I bet you can get the best there is to offer in the 7 day trial.

Mandy was brilliant. Want to see that other one, Color of Space or something like that. Not sure if that's on Shudder or not.

I Do love horror.

@mrbojangles25: I have Color Out of Space on Blu-ray. If you'd like, I can send it you. Some people really like it. I thought it was ok.

If it’s not a horror movie from the 70s or 80s, I can’t get into it. Something about those decades just made for good horror.

I don't know if it's really a horror movie (it's more comedy) but Shaun of the Dead ( I wish there was a sequel, that movie was quite funny).

America 2020.

Extremely frightening but like many horror protagonists, they make dumb decisions that bring most of the trouble onto themselves.

I'm like that with action movies from the 80's there's a few exceptions of course mostly from the early 90's but for me action movies peaked in the 80's.

Yesterday I watched Velvet Buzzsaw. I think it's one of the best mystical horror movies I've seen in recent years.

Christine by John Carpenter for the first, about an evil car, spoofed by Futurama. This movie is so underrated. 4K disc looked lovely.

I do as well. The Exorcist, Sinister, Conjurings, The Wailing, The Ring, Insidious. I'm sure I missed a few. At the same time a lot of horror movies suffer from the same thing, terribly executed conclusions, which is what I found with The Ritual, Hereditary and Midsommar. I don't care much for slashers because of how dumb the characters usually come across, which is more comical than anything.

I don't watch much horror as most of the films of that genre really aren't "horrific". But the last one I did watch was It part 2. Sadly, it wasn't nearly as enthralling or scary as the book.

TBH Alien 1 is pure sci fi horror, 2 falls into sci fi action lol.

Aliens may have more action, but it's still a horror movie. It's both.

I’ve always thought 2 was pure action. It’s why I don’t like it as I don’t care for action movies.

true.

For 100% horror films, I'd say Suspria, Dawn of the Dead, some of Dario Argento's films are right up there. I think one reason why we like horror films from the '70s and '80s is probably CGI.

Orphan (2009) is a good horror/thriller. You should check it out.
