what if R rated films got banned

i know this will probably never happen but what if all of theR rated films got banned and were illigal to watch worldwide

Some of my favorite movies would be illegal...there would be a revolution and we'd overthrow the government after sustaining heavy casualties.

That'll never happen cos then we'd be in a Totaliterian (spelt right?) nation, where our every action is monitored, there'll will be like curfews for everyone, banning things like alchol, cigarettes, Banning fatty foods, etc.....

I think we are referring to different types of "R" rated movies...i prefer movies like The Professional, Punisher Warzone and Last Samurai...u must be talking about those porn like comedies..which i despise...

I really wouldn't care, I don't care for R rated films. I have an exception for "First Blood" and "The Terminator" though. All of the gratuitous violence doesn't interest me.

zarsacks post got me thinking...is the OP referring to 'hardcore' R-rated or simply movies that are rated R?

Because the movie rating system is so subjective anyways, a P-13 film could be R in someone else's opinion. (Yes, yes, I know there are guidelines. But one F word? What if it's mumbled? Come on now.)There would be a terrible hubbub. Everyone with a vested interest would desperately defend their own movies.

But (IMO) there's nothing very ambiguous about Jack *bleeping* the *bleep* out of Jill. Mah 2 cents.
