ive tried netscape but i hear its not safe.. firefox really messes my computer up by doing whatever it does to its memory. i have a notebook so i cant just get more memory ive been told. my mom got me this computer for christmas, mainly for research yet im having issues with firefox online like audio slowing and usual problems related to firefox. ive been defragging and runing all the clean up wizards but it does not seem to help. here is my specs for my computer.. maybe its my computer i dont know, i just need a good alternative.

Opera, but you might want to look at this, too. There's a lot of things that can help you optimize your memory on your computer, but the link is by far the most practical one I've come across.

Opera moves pretty fast for me. Maybe a little faster than FireFox. But I go FireFox all the way!

Well, im very sure that they are wrong. It depends on what kind of memory you buy, but i recommend a 1GB stick, which I cant remember the price. Bring it to a custom computer shop, they usually charge cheaper and they will usually give you better advice.
EDIT: which laptop do you have?

How come. I quite like Firefox though I only used Explorer before that. What makes Opera good?
