Poll What is better Marvel or DC (35 votes)
If you choose both then pick both of them.

While I do like DC a lot when it's done well (Batman is one of my favorite super heroes), I prefer Marvel by quite a bit.
I like the characters and the stories more (for the most part), and overall they've done better with video games and movies in my opinion. DC used to have some really high quality animated shows though.
It's not that easy for the actual books. I dont pick exclusively Marvel or DC. Instead, I tend to favor certain characters and writers for each publisher.
As for the movies, I've preferred the current MCU ones to the recent new DC universe ones.
I've always been partial to Marvel. Regardless of how awesome DC could ever get, they still have Aquaman, so that automatically makes Marvel better.
Depends on the context.
But honestly I love them both.
DC has better comics, Marvel has better movies. That is all.
If I had to choose I'd say this, only animation instead of comics (sadly, didn't read the comics :( )
in terms of what comics or movies?
In both cases marvel is taking a massive dump all over DC.
DC is only capable of making good animated movies.Everything else from their tv shows, their movies to their new 52 sucks.

I forgot that too! Their animation movies and shows are top notch! Last time I saw Marvel's animation was with the 2 Avengers movies. I honestly only liked the Marvel's 90's X-Men and Spider-Man.

Yeah it was quite by accident that I stumbled across Justice League, then Justice League Unlimited, on Netflix. It was all really entertaining, not sure if it counts as canon or not but it was a nice entry into the larger universe all the same. After that, it was me trying to find all the animated features I could.
Mark Hamill's/DC's Joker is arguably one of the best villains in all of creation.

Yeah, I also felt the same when Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill were reprising their roles as Batman and Joker in the Justice League. Then again, the artstyle is pretty similar too.
Dark Knight Trilogy still shits on any Marvel movies. TBH I dont really follow either that much (and im only talking about movies)
All the Marvel (Disney) movies have been the exact same formula.....5 minutes of story development, 2 hrs of action. Not much substance.
MCU simply does a far better job at the shared universe concept, and because it's been way more carefully planned.
DCEU in contrast has been trying too hard to catch up, stumbling all over the place along the way.
The only thing I ever see DC fans defending the DCEU over, is: a) they're a fanboy, or b) "hurr hurrr, I like darkness."
Marvel comics have been in the toilet for years now. Their movies are amazing though.
DC is exactly the opposite. They've had a hard time making good movies, but their comics have been good to great. New 52 was stellar.
