This is a short overview of it: CARM - Hell.

It was originally created for the devil and his demons (fallen angels), but man chose to fall in the Garden of Eden, and this made him unrighteous in the eyes of God. This is why the ultimate question is: am I righteous? It is a horrible place of eternal torment (as the link above addressed).
God bless,
Crushmaster.

Retro_Reactive

Heaven is all about fluffy clouds and harps.

Hell is all about fornication, gambling, gluttony and partying.

I'm so totally righteous. Also it sounds like a pretty happening spot. All my favourite musicians are there.

Whatever you imagine the fury of the wrath of an infinite God to be like, likely worse. However, through simple faith in the power and work of Jesus Christ rather than faith in our own goodness we can instead know the infinite mercies of God.

God doesn't seem infinitely merciful, if God sends people to hell and also has infinite wrath...

That God would save any of us is one of my greatest theological questions. We all by our own will have waged war against God. However, for some of us who trust in him we who are traiters to our king can be called children of God. For those who are adopted as his own, it is for them that he establishes his loving kindness.

You should really speak for yourself, rather than the rest of the world.

Rather than explain your previous paradoxical statement where you took liberties with infinity, you sidestep your paradox by creating a fan-club. This makes your God even more wrathful and insecure, since your God demands to be worshipped under penalty of "infinite wrath"!

Loving kindness?

But in your view, the vast majority of the 108 billion people who have ever existed are going to burn in hell for all eternity. The overwhelming majority of which never had the chance to even hear about jesus and the bible.

THis does not seem mercyful.

i remember i seen a documentary about a guy who died for about 10-15minutes and was revived and when he was dead he "seen hell', or thats what he claims. i think he woke up in his hospital bed and demon humanoid people were sawing his face up and torturing him. on top of that it was really hot, or it was something like that....my mom actually died for almost 10minutes when she had a heart attack and didnt see anything(heaven nor hell) so maybe that guy was just lying :P

Actually, no. Christianity revolves around Christ, the Son of God, Who came down to earth and laid His life down for the sins of His people (the Church). Though they were filthy, wicked, pure evil ("There is none righteous, no, not one"), He became sin for us (the Church), that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Yes, man is evil. But some men have been, and will be, redeemed - and they, having placed their trust in Christ (Jesus said, 'I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man comes to the Father but by Me'), and turned from their sins ('Except you repent, you shall all likewise perish'), have been shown to be children of God ('Whosoever was not written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire').

I encourage you to take a look at the link in my signature: are you righteous? It's more in-depth. :)
God bless,

That's not why people are sent to Hell. The whole issue is sin: am I righteous? God's Word tells us that we're not. Again, the link addresses this. :)
Ave Crushmaster!

I cannot see sigs. I turned them off six years ago. Short version?

Ave Sathanas.

Iszdope. Iszdope

Sure. Here is basically what the link says.

We've all lied, stolen, looked with lust, etc., thus breaking God's commandments (specifically, the Ten Commandments - "You shall not lie", "You shall have no other gods before Me [the God of the Bible]", "You shall not murder", "You shall honor your father and mother", etc.) - God's standard is high that Christ, the Son of God, while on earth, said...

(Mat 5:22 NKJV) ""But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire."

(Mat 5:27-28 NKJV) ""You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not commit adultery.' {28} "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

Or, if you were not married, this sin would translate to fornication. Thus, if you are angry without cause, or hate (1 John 3:15), you commit murder; and if you look with lust, you commit adultery or fornication!

God is high and holy, and He demands righteousness. Yet there are none righteous, no, not one; and all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God. Yes, the wages of sin are death, and we, with our filthy rags of "righteousness" (Isaiah 64:6), our rope of sand which we use in a desperate attempt to climb to God, cannot reach up to God. Though we have ears, we do not hear; though we have eyes, we see not.

Our wickedness, our depravity, is so, so great, that God cannot love us. Psalms 5:5 declares that God hates all workers of iniquity; yes, the boastful shall not stand in His sight. Yet all of us drink up iniquity like water - we say we are good (or maybe we don't, yet even if we don't, we do not grasp the depths of our depravity), we say we are righteous, yet our race, this human race, took the perfect, holy, Son of God, and nailed Him to a cross 2,000 years ago. And all of us, outside of God's restraining grace, would do the same had we been in the place of the Jews and Romans.

But that is where the good news begins. God came to earth as a man - born of a virgin, He lived, and He died, and He rose again for the sins of His people...

(1 Cor 15:3-4 NKJV) "For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, {4} and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,"

God is good, God is holy, so a sacrifice had to made for the sins of the Church. He came to give His life a ransom for many - a substitute for sinners. We could not provide righteousness on our own, so God provided a Lamb - the perfect lamb of God, His Son.

So, He declares: whoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. Repent, and believe the Gospel. Christ is the Way, He is the Truth, He is the Life - no one, not ever, never, ever - and no one comes to God the Father but by Him. By trusting in Him, and believing in Him.

(Mark 1:14-15 NKJV) "Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, {15} and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.""

(Acts 17:30-31 NKJV) ""Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, {31} "because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.""

The Man He has ordained, Who He raised from the dead, is Jesus Christ - Second Person of the Trinity. He is the only source of salvation. He alone is the Way. He alone leads to life.

I beg of you, put your trust in Him. I do not ask you to make some false repentance or profess falsely - I only know that life is but a vapor, and we do not know when it is appointed for us to die, and after this, the judgment.

Thank you for your time. :)
God bless,
Crushmaster.

The short version is that we are all going to hell.

Wasn't asking you.

At least he knows what he believes.

I just hate word wasters. Especially the weird ones.

His answer was misleading, the question wiould have been easily answered by a yes or no answer, posting hundreds of words of scripture is not an honest answer.

But it sure is revealing how brainwashed one is when their argument holds no argument at all, but is only the same old tired dogma repeated over and over and over again. It's like trying to debate with a billboard. All this scripture explains nothing. But it's still fun to watch.

in reality. i don't think it's a eternity of torture i don't think any man is that evil. if it does exist in some way,id think of it as prison. serve your time for what ever sin you commited and off to heaven.

but why would a whicked man punish the wicked?
