Actually that's a mistranslation. People are made from clay. This is true for many other creation myths, also.

Likely not. The Hebrew word there is aphar which means dry earth, dust, powder, ashes, earth, ground, mortar, and rubbish. I've taken a year of Biblical Hebrew and have resources right here with me. This is every meaning it could possibly mean. Either way, it's common elements.
Even if you are right, however, in it being clay instead of dust, it is still common elements and my point would still be made.
