I know this is a tough question (maybe), but if you had to ultimately decide which one of these forms of entertainment/art is more signifcant to you, or that you favor more- which would it be? I would have to go with Movies. Don't say both, you must pick one...

samuraiguns, that is true, but which one of these two do you focus on more? Listening to bands or watching movies?

Movies. Yeah music is also great but songs don't really blow me away, good movies do. Children of Men, Shawkshank, ya'know.

If I may, why do many of you feel music is more significant to you then a film?

That's just reference. It doesn't actually include the film like film includes a soundtrack.

But like you even said, there is music in films, and often times its used to great effect. So doesn't that make films more significant in a way? For me, everytime I'm listening to music, I'm actually thinking about how it could be used in a movie...

Melodies, rhythms, beats, etc. Don't get me wrong, I love film, but music affects me in a different way. It's difficult to explain. Kind of like a trance.

I enjoy music alot, but honestly, 95% of it is recycled junk. Maybe my tastes are too picky, but its very hard for me to find good music. In my personal opinon, most of the music people of the OT like is trash, but if it works for you, then your luckier than me I guess.

As much as I love music, and I really do love music, films are more important to me. Luckily for all of us, we don't have to make the choice :)

Music is one of those basic needs for me. I absolutely love movies, but if it came down to it, I would choose music. It's a fundamental, much like books are.

Not exactly. It's just that I'm not easily satisfied with music. But the stuff I do like, is often pretty varied.

I quite literally couldn't live without music, I make it and when I'm not making it I'm listening to it.
