I have heard a bunch of people say that palin really stupid, and that she is a terrible politician, and after seeing the how has your oppinion changed on Palin thread, I made me wonder what is so bad about her, so what is so bad about her?

If you look at Alaska it is easily one of the best states in the Union, there is really low taxes, and the GDP per capita is high, they are one of the few states that aren't in debt, and everything up there is cold (which is cool).

Other than the fact that she didn't know Africa is a continent? Absolutely nothing.

I'm not in the US, but I do know that Alaska is the least intelligent state, with Florida just above it. Plus she's stupid, like not pitifully stupid, but absolutely cringeworthy stupid.

Unfortunately not, I will ask for the stats when the informant next logs on for me (She lives in FL, so I guess she'd have reasonable evidence)

Palin is a Creationsist, and a life-isolated clown. She is an overzealous highschool graduate, that thinks real life works the same way as it did in highschool.

There is nothing "Bad" about her at all. As a matter of fact I would probably get along with her quite well in a family BBQ type setting, its just the fact that she isn't a very skilled politician yet and that she wasn't ready for the big show. She said some ridiculous things in interviews because she is ignorant, not because she is "bad".

Well the fact is that before she took office, Alaska was in a large deficit, and now they have a huge surplus, and the people of Alaska are getting money from the state. She did have something to do with it because she was the one in charge while it happened.

If I'm not mistaken, the money people get for living there comes from oil company kick backs, and that's been happening since way before she ever took office.

The sound Scooby-Doo makes when he's surprised by something someone says.

I considered doing "ZOINKS" but I figured that would be more in-line with a frightened context and would make me out to be a 70s stoner.

She seems to be a somewhat decent governor in Alaska. The thing is, I just want her to stay in Alaska and give up all aspirations for a position in the federal government. As long as she stays in Alaska, I have no beef with her.

It is fairly difficult to believe that a grown woman, and a governor no less, would not know that Africa is a continent.

Tell that to the people of Alaska, who've made her the most popular governor in the US. Her strong leadership has been an asset to that state. I look forward to the day when she can serve her country in an even greater capacity. Palin is one of the many Republicans who we'll see a lot more of in the coming years.

Palin represents an isolated redneck ideology. This is a unique perspective that could never be taken seriously in a global theatre of political operations.

A very good point. Former Sen. and convicted felon Ted Stevens lost reelection by, I believe, about 3000 votes.

Quite frankly, I think that's pretty sad...

Tell that to Frank Murkowski. When he left office, his approval ratings were 19%. Palin beat him in the primaries, even though he was the incumbent. But it's not hard to be popular in Alaska, right? Wrong!

Tell that to the people of Alaska, who've made her the most popular governor in the US. Her strong leadership has been an asset to that state. I look forward to the day when she can serve her country in an even greater capacity. Palin is one of the many Republicans who we'll see a lot more of in the coming years. mysterylobster

I don't think its hard to be popular in Alaska. Hell, even that corrupt senator almost won his re-election after being convicted.

Tell that to Frank Murkowski.

Hopefully he'll stop by my house so I can. Seriously, if your state nearly re-elects a man who has clearly been convicted of taking multiple bribes then its not hard to be popular there.
