What is something your parents forced you to do that you hated to do?

My dad use to make me play football. I hated it and he was a jerk abiut it. Yelling me" if you don't start I'm beating you" and junk like that. What about you guys has your mom and dad ever made you do something you hate?

luckily i asked a few questions to get some clarification on something that didn't make sense to me in sunday school when i was 10 and the answer was not very clear so i asked again and the guy just kicked me out and i didn't have to go anymore.

But of course, that's from when I was younger. Our parents never tried to force anything onto us that we didn't want to do (general house rules aside).

Make me take ADD medicine. Even though I was diagnosed with it I felt really horrible taking it.

They really left me alone in regards to how I shaped myself and my life really pushing me in terms of school and such. I guess there were sometimes where there was a certain schedule that they would make that if I didn't follow it then they would get pretty p!ssy at me but other than that, not much from what I can remember. Go to church and funerals. Funerals always felt like a church service in disguise because there is more time spent worshiping than actually remembering the person in the casket.... Also hated when my dad forced me spend a night at his fiance house. Her apartment room was filthy with thousands upon thousands of roaches in it. Turn on the kitchen light after dark and you could swear that there's enough roaches on the floor, counters, and tables to form a 6 foot replica of lady liberty. Nothing like sleeping on her couch then waking up with a few roaches in your mouth and mistaken them as gum..... On the opposite side of the parenting totem, my moms husband has some pretty interesting relatives. When they lived in detroit and when I got to visit my mom during my school breaks, she and her husband would drop off me, his two daughters, and my sister at one of his aunties house. His aunty had a roach problem similar to my dads fiance, but they really got into her food. The b1tch used to force us to eat her home cooked meals that had roaches in them. I remember when she made breakfast, gave us some pancakes and grits that had a bunch of dead roach bodies in them. Told us we better eat that food or she will beat our @ss. Just thinking about it made me lol'd in real life. I hated visiting her....tocool340

Taking political science in university. It's taken me $20,000 and 4 years, and I'm still facing consequences as a result of that stupid as hell decision.

They would force me to wear whatever clothes they wanted me to wear, I couldn't dress on my own as a kid, if I did, as I was heading out my mom would spot me and yell at me, then take me to my closet and put whatever clothes she thought were nice.lightleggy

i think im doing alright.

have made a few poor decisions, but ive learned from them. they've changed me for the better i say.
