It's not one book. It's 4. Individually they're pretty great, but altogether they're awesome. Hungry City Chronicles.

I've always been a huge fan of "Last Exit To Brooklyn" by Hubert Selby Jr. Even if it is a tad dated these days.

I would suggest Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace. Can not really choose any particular book as my favorite though.

In english this book is called "The discovery of heaven". Its a fantastic masterpiece.

Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz.

Great story, great writing, and incredibly charming characters make this such an amazing book.

There is so many good books I have read to recommend just one. I would recommend anything by Harlan Ellison, especially his short story collections. The Jack Ryan series of books from Tom Clancy are all great. I especially enjoyed Red Storm Rising, The Hunt for Red October, Rainbow Six, and The Bear and the Dragon. If you're interested in a real vampire story then I would recommend the Necromancer series by Brian Lumley.

its probably the metamorphosis by kafka. plus its not very long anyway. so if you dont like (meaning theres something wrong with you, rather than the book :P), you wont have wasted much of your time.

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. It's a page-turner for sure. Great book.
