LOTR is my favorite trilogy. Its always felt like one epic tale to me instead of three movies so I went with option 4.
Return of the King extended version on Bluray = sex

It's perfect besides that one monster at the Black Gate

Not sure which one your talking about? Mouth of Sauron is an awesome nod to the books and is only like a three minute extra scene. Troll fight was  cool fight for Aragorn.ÂAnyway, to me its on egiant movie, but the third part is best.
The Two Towers - Extended Edition. Can't beat stuff like The Dead Marshes, Arwen's fate, Frodo's dream, the scene with Boromir and Faramir, Grima (especially his tear lol), and all the Rohan scenes. It's easily the most atmospheric of them all.
FOTR is also great but ROTK falls off a cliff after the eagle rescue. It just won't end! It's still better than the book's final chapters, that whole Scouring of the Shire business is awful.
Yeah I think TTT was the one that benefited most from the addition of scenes. The Two Towers - Extended Edition. well, it took me several attempts at watching Fellowship without falling asleep from boredom, so it's definitely not thatlamprey263This. I love LOTR, but Fellowship just felt rushed, like everything just happened out of nowhere. And I'm sorry, but the Moria sequence is a snore. I LIKE Fellowship. But I LOVE Two Towers and Return.
Very difficult for me to choose which one is better. All three were exceptional films with their own memorable moments.
ROTK > FOTR > TTT
Â
They're all excellent though, and even better if you imagine them as one giant movie. Â
This is sort of a dangerous topic for me. I inevitably have an initial one in my mind but by the end I end up talking about all the seemingly endless positive things to say about the other two and before I know it I typed like six paragraphs and end up posting none of it because ain't nobody got time for that.
Gonna say go ahead and say number four.
