I couldn't pick a favorite... I thought they all equally sucked... Aside from St. Anger... Which blew beyond comprehension... slorg_kingI disagree. St. Anger was an improvement over their other stuff, which was the equivalent of burning yourself alive while impaled. St. Anger was just the equivalent of being burned.
[QUOTE="Large_Soda"]First, ignore anyone that says St. Anger, Load, ReLoad and the Black Album. My personal favorite is Master Of Puppets, but Ride The Lightning is a close 2nd. kirk4ever
um why? are you lord ans master of others opinions ? :o /bows
Well not Lord, or even Master, but I do think I'm doing people a service when steering them away from quote unquote Best Metallica Albums. Kinda like flashing your high beams at oncoming motorists to warn them of the impending speed trap. No one needs a speeding ticket, or the misrepresentation that Fuel is a good song.

Cerussite
Touché!
But I'd disagree.St. AngerA_TarkovskyAfter you've heard the rest, this album is really nice to hear. Good to hear that they won't confine themselves.
the best album to start is definitely the black album (also known as Metallica, although its not their first album). Almost all songs are great and they arent dense, in other words its easy-listening, so its your best choice to start knowing them. After that you can listen to Master of Puppets album (listen to Disposable Heroes, my fav song), And Justice for All, etc
Anything that came after the black album prety much sucks, with the exception of a couple of songs

why? Black Album owned.
my faves: Black Album and Master of Puppets.
I couldn't pick a favorite... I thought they all equally sucked... Aside from St. Anger... Which blew beyond comprehension... slorg_kingIf you don't mind me asking what do you like?
[QUOTE="Quadrifoglio"]The one that has "One" on it. That song would make a Hannah Montana album great..CerussiteThat song is a mess, even for Metallica standards. It's horrible.
Then that song is the greatest messy song I have ever heard! :P
Kill Em All for pure head banging thrash. (My 3rd favorite)
Ride the Lightnig for more varied but better sounding thrash (My 2nd favorite)
Master of Puppets for the best metal you will hear in your life (My 1st favorite)

you have a lot of variety but why not metallica. Seems like something random. Anything you dislike paticularly? And which pantera do you like? Like power metal or newer? Lots of random questions but one more. Is nightwish a well known band?
