Best is subjective, but my favorite is the Roots' How I Got Over. Grandmaster Flash's The Message comes close second.

I'll be a little different and say...building tension...i know your excited...and my vote goes to...ONYX Bacdafucup.

Really it would probably be GZA Liquid Swords or NASIllmatic, but there is just something about ONYX Bacdafucup that I enjoy so much. It's a classic album that stood it's ground evenwhen Dre was releasing The Chronic.
