For me, there was a young intern that started working in my dept and I sent an email from my private email. Apparently she had a fiance and she told my supervisor. NOT good. What about you guys?

When I worked at 7-11 I had an old man yell at me for getting king size cigarettes rather than regular size. I explained to him I heard him say king size and that he should clarify it better. He raged and left the store, I didn't really get in trouble for it but I still got some lulz.
I once worked through a staffing agency at some Redbox customer service center but was let go after my 4th day for "advertising".
During lunch, some of the employees at Redbox had asked me a couple questions about what my interests and hobbies are, what do I do during the weekend etc.(you know, to get to know the new guy a lil more) I had explained to the girls that I sometimes go to the flea market with my mom on the weekends to keep her company while she sells her stuff. They asked me what she sells and I vaguely told them that she sells men & womens clothing to go clubbing in. Conversation moved to something else and that was that.
On Friday i wake up to my phone blowing up, it's the staffing agency calling to adivse me to not show up at Redbox. I guess the HR lady was in the lunch room at the same time the other employees and I were talking, overheard the conversation and took my slight mentioning of my moms flea market business as mass advertising and was deemed competitive against Redbox.

lol are you serious i cant believe that, thats a little ridiculousI got hired through a staffing agency (like someone else here) to do document filing. We have to take the document packets from one box, and reorganize them all by date (thousands of pages per bos). I was going through the documents and checking the dates to make sure everything was in order and the manager came over and chewed me out for "reading private documents". I quit the job 2 days later anyway because it was some weird 100% Philipino workplace and no English was even spoken. It was fun being referred to as "Joe" though.
I've never really gotten into any trouble at work. I can think of the dumbest thing I have gotten in trouble for outside of work, more specifically, grade 8. We were all assigned different days that we had to sweep the classroom (trying to teach us practical things?) and it was Raegan's day to sweep. I have no idea why, but she wouldn't do it so my teacher told me to do it and I refused. It wasn't my day, what do you expect? I came in from lunch recess and he screamed at me aggressively and I still wouldn't do it.
Ive got 3 more.
At a soccer game my coach wanted me to take off a player who literally just got on the field. I said no, because I wanted to be fair to the other player and give him some play time. My coach got irrationally angry at me and forced me to sit for the next 10 mins. I was trying to be a team player wasn't I? Isn't that the point?
At our school we ordered track and field shirts and we were supposed to pay $20. I hadn't paid up and I was past the deadline. My coach reefed on me in front of our whole track team for at least 10 mins. There were other kids who hadn't paid too, but he didn't detroy their souls.
In gym class we were doing a push up test where we were supposed to do as many push ups as possible in a minute. My upper body is pretty weak so I only did like 36 and was done in like 30 secs. My teacher proceeded to accuse me that I didn't try. For like 3 minutes. It was so unjust.

quatoe
King size cigarettes are the regular size. 100's are the long ones. I don't get it.
I have a great boss that we all think doesn't yell at us because he's shy (weird I know) but last April 1st my friend put a bunch of My Little Pony stickers around my office and a very "suggestive" poster of one of the ponys. My boss walked in in the middle of me tearing them down and was like "what... the ****"
A called a customer the "C" word while working at my first job. I was working at McDonald's and this woman repeatedly complained about her quarter pounder being dry and I had to remake like 3 times. I finally got fed up and called her a...you know. All my manager did was run into the back room because he was laughing hysterically. That's really the only time I have ever gotten in trouble at work.22ToothpicksThat doesn't sound like you got in trouble at all actually.
I accidentally spilled some water on my computer in work but it started a fire, which was quite bad. I was just a low grade computer technician (i know i know my bad) at the time at a Ukraine powerplant. back in '86 though there wern't that many computer technicians around so I didn't find it too hard getting a new job.

Why...just why? That's such a derp thing to do.
It wasn't meant for him it was meant for the guy in the cubical next to meIncorrectly over-filling a popcorn container so as to facilitate spillages. The acting floor manageress (pregnant and emotional) came up with some ridiculous gubbins involving pushing the popcorn down when the tub was half full, and that led to a discussion about tub capacity, popped kernel elasticity and a failed corrective demonstration. Ugh, I hated that job.

i haven't really gotten in trouble for anything unreasonable at work
but, one time i ended up injuring 2 customers (they filled out incident reports) and one of them took legal action against the company i work for, i'm not sure how it turned out or if it's still going on. but anyways, i didn't get in any trouble, and a few ladies that worked in clerical plus a few other employees, they actually felt bad for me.
getting yelled at for breaking the key in the cash register even though it was already broken and being held together by a piece of tape. on the plus side, i discovered i could pick locks.
I was working for a guy who was on vacation, to fill in his spot for that day. I get a call from a sales manager to bring a car from the car lot to the back where we wash our cars because we were doing a dealer trade. It was storming that day so he told me to get the keys when it stopped raining. Well my shift was over and it was still pouring out so i never got that car. Well next day i come in and got yelled at because the stupid sales manager had to go find the car ( it was easily findable since we have like one row of Denali Yukons) when the other dealership came to pick it up. Tell me why the sales manager couldnt call again later on that day to have someone get it? He called me around 11 and had the keys in his office. If the keys were still there all the way up till 9pm, why didn't he call back saying " Hey I still have the keys, is someone going to get the car for tomorrow?" No he decides to just forget it and wait till the last minute and bit** at my manager who then **** at me. YOU HAD ALL DAY TO CALL BACK FOR SOMEONE TO GET THE CAR! YOU TOLD ME NOT TO GET IT WHEN IT WAS RAINING! SO I DIDNT! The sales people at my car dealership are such a-wholes who think they're better than everyone. We wash there cars and they don't even tip us. And yes its by hand and it takes atleast 45 mins to get it fully done.

That's offensive to me and I'm not even Jewish. I honestly hope you got fired, what a horribly insensitive thing to do. It doesn't matter who it was directed at, that's horrible, and even more horrible that you DID direct it at somebody and aren't just all around racist.
EDIT: Fixed, lol
Well, I was working at All American Burger, and this customer comes up to complain about his breakfast (the guy who was supposed to be running the register was in the bathroom). Anyways he wanted a refund because he didn't like the breakfast, so I went to fill out a forum for the refund (as standard procedure) but the guy kept complaining and said "that sign says 100% garuntee" so I got pissed and told him "I gaurentee to kick 100% of your ass" and the manager fired me.

D: Sorry, that was a half-thought out comment, I was tabbed onto another page reading about some people saying horrible things about black people, and meant to write that there, and "that offends me and I'm not even Jewish" here.
Whoopsie   I'll go change that.
Well, I never got into trouble but I was working at this college and paint the girls dorm. Somebody bet me that I won't go streaking throught he hallway and I did.
Another time I was working at the college cafeaterina and we go up and get these keg from these parties. On the way back, we finish them off.
While working at the maintence crew at the same college over the summer,we go up to my buddy room and get drunk.
Man, those was the good times. Never got caught.

When i first started working at the sports and fitness store i'm at now when we had this prick of a manager that didnt know anything about sports (he used to be an assistant manager at Woolworths),
Anyway so the (unofficial) policy for the store is that of all the resumes they get, the hirers would usually pick out the ones who have some sort of a regular sport or ccomplished something in sport so that way we have a more expert insight when customers come to buy stuff and overall we have the best customer service rep in our whole area,
So my manager was working on the floor and he was helping this guy and his 14 yr old son to some kickboxing supplies (which is my expert area, pretty much the sport i got hired for) so i was selling this guy a pair of runners and had just finished and went over to the manager and as i got there he told me to just help these guys finnish up while he has to go to the toilet,
So when i got there the manager had been trying to get this dad to buy his son a pair of $150 gloves and a 4ft bag for $250, which i thought was abit of a rip off cause the kid was telling me how he had started Muay Thai kickboxing and wanted to train at home aswell, so i decided to persuade the dad to get him this 6ft bag thats specifically made for low kicks and high kicks for kickboxers, the other one was pretty much a glorified punching bag that you could kick if you wanted.
So a pair of gloves came with the bag and it was as a $300 offer which is $100 less than what my manager was going to give them, i explained to the dad that this bag would be great for him and that the standard gloves included were just fine and that you dont need flashy high profile muhhamad ali signature gloves.
So after they left (very happy i may add) the manager came out and had a huge go at me for getting them with the cheaper deal, i almost hit the wanker but i just smiled and walked off, luckily he got fired a couple weeks later, and i dont know what he was angry about, its not like he gets 20% of the sale profit,
someone came in and asked for a Budweiser and I laughed at him and told him the 7-11 was two blocks down.
I suppose I deserved to get in trouble, but my boss just laughed with me and said I problably shouldnt do that next time.
I got fired from Duane Reade by the district manager for stacking toothpastes in the wrong places(it was the same brand just different "flavor"), in front of him.
He told me not to do it, then caught me in the act no more than 3 mins later... I didn't care because I had another job anyways; but needed the extra money at the time.
