Like if you converted your eye to a camera. How many frames would you get out of an eye if you know what I mean? Like scientists say that your brain is like 100 tb or something like that. So how many frames?

One of these two replies is good, and the other is rather obviously incorrect. Can you spot which one?

The human eye can perceive differences at greater than 16fps. However, when you get to 16fps things look "real", whereas below 16fps things generally just look like a bunch of fast-moving pictures.

yeah. 100-ish. I think I remember some sort of Air Force study showing that some people can notice up to 120fps. But those people might be fighter-jet pilots with exceptional eyesight, I don't remember.

I think the difference between 30 and 60 is minimal to the point it's not even worth noticing.

In games the difference is very noticable. Play DMC4 and you will see how smooth it runs. Also after checking the link someone posted here... I kinda think of it as a flow...

Not to me. Metroid Prime runs at 60fps... If I set Smash Bros Brawl to 50 or 60, I hardly notice it with all the action on screen. It doesn't change my viewing experience.

When I play World of Warcraft I like the fps to be above 30fps for it to run smoothly if that says anything...

I saw this in the Discovery channel, it was one of those specials talking about the human body going to extremes. I think it said that normally we see at 60fps but I cant remember so I might not be right on that. Anyway, it said that when a person puts enough stress on themselves, the brain starts to see at a faster rate of FPS, creating the illusion of SLOW MOTION. It happens alot when playing sports and when someone is in a dangerous situation. (like when you are about to get into a car accident and can see it coming.)
