What is the toughest class and why?

I'ma say that, even though they were technically easier on an absolute scale than numerous courses since, the uni physics sequence was the hardest as it required a bit of thought to comprehend and developing both problem-solving and spatial reasoning skills to do the work.
Semiconductor Physics by far. Three reasons mostly - Teacher was crappy and hard to understand, we haven't taken enough courses (uses diff eq, stuff from linear algebra, stuff from physics 203 - none of which we should've taken yet), and quantum mechanics is f*cking difficult.

That sounds like a really fun course.
The theory behind it was pretty hard to absorb (why I put it in this thread), but the using the actual CFD software was definitely one of the more interesting/fun things I did during my degree.I agree, uni physics is is tough for kids who haven't been introduced to such problems. I find it tough as well, but definitely doable and kind of fun.I'ma say that, even though they were technically easier on an absolute scale than numerous courses since, the uni physics sequence was the hardest as it required a bit of thought to comprehend and developing both problem-solving and spatial reasoning skills to do the work.

Java programming. The professor didn't teach anything and I absolutely hate computer code. Bad combo
wis3boi
well even though i know u r not smert
it's all about the teacher/professor
once you get it initally you may change your mind drastically
i haven't ever taken a hard class
just bad professors/teachers or 0 motivation end up hurting GPA for no reason
e.g any history class
or even classes I like like vector calc, there is no information the teacher gives so there is no clue what tests r on
guessing games arent fun
all luck pretty much
it's anoyying because the material is ez but there's a lot
composition class i had to take in High School.
I suck at writing about things. then at the the end of the semester for our final grade we had to give a speech, which counted for like half your grade.
i fucking hate giving speeches.
ended up failing the class. had to take it the next year. luckily i passed it the second time around.
I hated classes like that but looking back I can see why they want you to be able to do stuff like that.composition class i had to take in High School.

Worst grade I ever got was Freshmen Introductory Class, 1.5 hours 3 times a week on discussions of uninteresting scholarly articles (participation=50% of the grade), and 4 papers (worth 50% of the grade). Apparently high school did not teach me how to write, and I didn't know how to actively discuss a subject in class. Was not a fun time. It can be considered "hard" because I was unable to adapt so early into college, and it did not reflect well on my transcript.
'Dynamics of Machinery'
only class i ever took a D in, and yet i feel like a freakin' master in it. only class i had that had 5-6 hour exams, because the professor wanted you to be to tell him if gears meshed, or how many rotations before a shaft would break. A seemingly simple question could take 5-6 pages worth of equations and computations. in a sense it was 'hard' because it was really tedious. easily the most exhausting course i've taken.
another exhausting hard class was Dynamics of Systems and Numerical Analysis. just some of the concepts and the way those courses were being taught it was very hard to really absorb what the hell was actually going on.
kinda interesting how my engineering academic career went, came in like a B or higher student, but was immature and not really ready for that type college, drop down to a C and C- minus grades, then in the last one and half years if one were to see my transcript the grades started going back to B's and A's. then i go into my master's - at a regular state college - i'm a near 4.0 student.
probably an advanced financial derivatives class.
I'm studying for the CFA right now too (while working) so that if it counts.
Organic Chemistry 2 is the only class I've ever seriously studied for and still made a C. It doesn't help that the teacher was f*cking attrocious.
I took a very low level operating systems class that I barely passed due to a few factors. The class is extremely difficult, I was very lazy (coming off of a summer internship, school felt pointless, and it was my 5th year of school), I was given a pretty bad partner, my low level C and C++ coding skills are terrible, and I completely bombed the final exam because I was too lazy to study well for it.
If I would take that class again I would ace it no problem.
AP Computer Science in my junior year of high school. I'm a sophmore in college now, and nothing even compares to the difficulty I had with that class.

Parasitology is so cool though! (gross, but cool)
no dude i hated it , i don't know what's your area of study , i'm a medsudent and i hated every bit of itJust finished my BS in evolution and ecology. We got herpitology harvisting licences for the lab. It was awesome and a half.
History 318, Black America and Africa. Easily the hardest, but at the same time easily the most rewarding class I've ever taken. What is the toughest class and why?
