I know this is sort of a weird question but I'm just curious.
I live in a somewhat rural area in Louisiana. It's completely flat and very low land. The only type of hill you would come across would a levee protecting a river. It's pretty green and most of the trees look overgrown and have ivy or something on them. There's a lot of fields, the lakes are full of cypress trees and moss. There are some swampy areas, too.

Uhhm, well yep.

I live in south-eastern North Dakota (Fargo). It is quite flat here. It's pretty, but gosh is it flat. There's so much farmland and it's just...well, flat is the only word for it.

North Dakota is a gorgeous and amazing state, but it suddenly becomes flat once you hit the eastern part of it.

Here are a few pictures of western North Dakota where it's hilly and lovely and fantastic:

Perhaps, I often play "devils advocate" in the religious/political threads.

I envy you mountain dwellers so much. Here we have flat land, pine trees, blistering heat and little else. Hasn't rained in over a month, grass is all dead, crops are dying. It's miserable. I can't wait until my wife finishes med school so we can get the hell out of this state.

Damn you're lucky. The only thing close to me that's not even as good as that picture is the Lake District.

Well, in terms of where I grew up the countryside is like this - proper druid country.

Unfortunately as it's usually raining the skies are grey rather than blue. When the brief window that is summer opens, then it's boooootiful.

Am I the only one in this thread that lives in the magical land of Suburbia?

Here, it's houses, houses and more houses. Maybe throw in an apartment and a plaza here and there. There is also a mall nearby my house.

Geographically wise, it's pretty flat with farmland and some forests. It's kind of a mix of small mountains and cliffs as well asfarmlandsince I live fairly close to the Niagara Escarpment.I live in the Greater Toronto Area (Southern Ontario)for anyone that knows that area.

I live in a valley. Urban in a lot of areas now but quite a lot of greenery also. The AfonLwyd runs through my town and it goes through a lovely little wood. So yeah sometimes its lush.

Lots of trees, and farmland then city, then more trees and farmland. You can be in the middle of a decent sized city one min and then drive 10 min and be in the middle of nowhere farmland.
