What is the worst musical trend ever?

What do you guys think is the worst musical trend ever?

Personally i think its a draw between Nu-Metal like Limp Bizkit and Boy Bands like New Kids On The Block. 

The fact you need no musical ability, just a pretty face >_>zakkro

Liking old bands just cos they're oldmmogoon

That ticks me off also. But nu-metal is an abomination.

If you want a specific music trend though, theres a new thing where they have synthesized clapping in a song. I HATE CLAPPING IN SONGS!

I believe that's true in some cases. I care about somebody's relationships if I actually know them well, but not if it's some sixth grader making a thread saying "I GOTS A HAWT GF!!11"

It can go either way with musical opinions and tastes as well.

i said that when I was about 15.  Then I moved on to metalcore.  Now, I'm getting into some death metal at 19..

You'll probly get bored of nu metal like I did, after all, it is the least superior type of metal hands down.  One day you'll realize it too ;)

Nu-Metal. Emo and Boy Bands don't have any lasting fans while Nu-Metal does, and Nu-Metal is simply godawful. EboyLOL

Pffttt, Emo has a lot of lasting fans.

me too.  Its inevitable for most nu metal listeners to move on to better or "real" metal as you stated

I hated death metal as of two months ago.  I saw a few bands, they were awesome...  badda bing badda boom.  I was like you, trust me.  I loved nu metal, then slowly got into some metal.  Then... my music periodically changed from mostly nu metal to mostly metalcore.  Now its beginning where the majority of what I listen to is metalcore, however, I'm listening to some death metal now.  I don't think I'll ever have a majority of death metal, but thats what I said about nu metal, and look what happend.  I haven't listened to nu metal in ages, nor plan to.
