Hoooo...., well, allow me o share some wisdom born from experience:

There are two types of love:

1) Real Love.

2) Enamorament.

1)When TWO people like each other, and fall in love, it's awesome, it's great and beautiful. Both can work out almost all problems, both are loyal to each other, and both make each other happy, they make each other feel special.

2) Whe there is enamorament, ONE person really likes another, or even loves that person... and it SUCKS. The enamored person will suffer alot, this person will be jelous to watch the loved one with other people, and will spend many bad moments trying to make the loved one care for, or even notticing, the love that person feels. In the end, the lover will hate the loved one, and absolutely detest ANYONE who the loved one loves, and this will cause much damage to the lover.

Worst yet, the lover could as lucky as to, for whatever reason, actually get together with the loved one, and then IT'S HELL. Little by little the lover will realize the loved one SIMPLY DOES NOT CARE about a relationship, and all effort the lover puts is in vain.

Sadly, the couple will break up and forever hate each other, or at least (if they are mature) become distant with each other. And then, even friendship may end. By the way, many people enamorate with each other and even marry, thus leading to this nation having some major divorce figures.

But the same could be said with couples of "boyfriends", most people split because after a couple of weeks (or less) they realize they let themselves go and didn't really understood they simply had no bussiness being together, if perhaps some chemistry.

So.... now you have to ask yourself: is love in the air, or enamorament?

Does it really matter if she's hot or not? The point is is that he feels this way about her.

Ok well here are two reasons why I have not asked her out yet.

1. I am afraid if I do ask her and if she says no... our friendship is ruined, if she says yes and we break up sometime, out friendship could be ruined.

2. I never had a girlfriend before so that's probably my I a intimidated.

Throw some little flirts here and there and see if she responds positively, as others have mentioned. Also I'm sure that if you talked with her alone where her intimidating friends can't... intimidate... you.... then it would be a lot easier.
