What is your favorite Bible verse?

Mine is:

"Whatever you do for the least of my brothers, you do for me."

I like it because it shows Jesus cares about those who no one else seems to care about, that God will always care about those most neglected and abandoned.

I don't know which verse it is though.

What is your favorite Bible verse?

I also feel like I have a lot in common with St Francis of Assisi, who was loving and caring to all, humans and animals.

"He woke up, and it was all a dream". I'm pretty sure that's in there somewhere.

Yes, well his statement is untrue because science and history have both proved that several parts of the Bible are true...and I'm not going to go into it.

Favorite verse: Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

Judges 19:22
Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city,
certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door,
and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying,
Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.

Judges 19:23
And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, and said unto them,
Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly;
seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this folly.

Judges 19:24
Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine;
them I will bring out now, and humble ye them,
and do with them what seemeth good unto you:
but unto this man do not so vile a thing.

Judges 19:25
But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine,
and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her,
and abused her all the night until the morning:
and when the day began to spring, they let her go.

Judges 19:26
Then came the woman in the dawning of the day,
and fell down at the door of the man's house where her lord was, till it was light.

Judges 19:27
And her lord rose up in the morning, and opened the doors of the house,
and went out to go his way: and, behold,
the woman his concubine was fallen down at the door of the house,
and her hands were upon the threshold.

Judges 19:28
And he said unto her, Up, and let us be going. But none answered.
Then the man took her up upon an ass, and the man rose up, and gat him unto his place.

Judges 19:29
And when he was come into his house, he took a knife,
and laid hold on his concubine, and divided her, together with her bones,
into twelve pieces, and sent her into all the coasts of Israel.

That's.... hard to answer... Can I list four? I only say four because they are the first to come to mind and I've spent A LOT of time meditating on these passages. :P Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." This passage is extremely comforting to me and gives me confidence when doing the things of God. As far as a verse that I try to emulate more than any other, I like 1 Peter 3:15, "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." I seek to have this passage be the one that defines my very life. A passage that I love when looking at the hope for the future, I love Zephaniah 3:17. This passage expresses what will happen for those who seek after Christ, "The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." And the last thing I want to mention is not a single verse but eight. I absolutely love this passage as it shows just have freak'n awesome Jesus is (as John 12:41 says this is Jesus) and shows how we should respond to him. The rest of the post is Isaiah 6:1-8: In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke. "Woe to me!" I cried. "I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty." Then one of the seraphs flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, "See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for." Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"

"Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and render unto God what is God's."

It saddens me that a lot of Christians overlook this.

This story is my favorite. "Hey yeah you guys, don't eat from the tree of knowledge or I'll kill you." The subtext of that story is "Don't ask questions and don't think for yourself or you'll die" Thanks "Jesus" but I'll stick to using my goddamn brain.

Yae, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for you are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Psalms 23:4.

This one, because with God even the most cowardly can have bravery, even in there darkest hour.

Indians have shown to be able to walk on burning coals without any injury, and some Chinese can push a VAN backwards using a spear towards his abdomen.. Also, the bible wouldn't be the bible if everything had to be/could be proven. Genius.

Not quite. Passages such as the beginning of Luke say otherwise (1:1-4): "Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. Therefore, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught." Scripture was written so that we come to find out what happened and to find that it is true. Scripture was not written in such a way that we are to blindly take a leap of faith that it is true.

Deuteronomy 23:1:

No one who is emasculated or has his male organ cut off shall enter the assembly of the lord.
